Girls Who Lead

Program Overview

The Washington Wizards are dedicated to inspiring and empowering young women through the power of sports. As part our District of Play initiative, the Wizards Girls Empowerment program is expanding to provide high school female student-athletes from across the District with a unique leadership opportunity.

Through this week-long experience, participants will work alongside Jr. Wizards coaches during select summer camp sessions, gaining hands-on experience in coaching, mentorship, and leadership. In addition to on-court responsibilities, participants will take part in daily leadership sessions and activities designed exclusively for them - building confidence and a deeper understanding of what it means to lead both on and off the court while inspiring the next generation of athletes.

Week 1 (Cohort 1) - July 6 to July 10
Week 2 (Cohort 2)
- July 13 to July 17
